At Hemptations, we believe that self-care shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense. We're deeply committed to making every part of our business as sustainable and eco-conscious as possible — not just now, but into the future.

What We're Doing Right Now

• Biodegradable Packaging:
  Our kraft cardboard mailer boxes and kraft protective wrapping are fully biodegradable and recyclable.

• Compostable Shipping Labels:
  We use Hero biodegradable shipping labels, designed to break down naturally without leaving harmful residue.

• Paper-Based Product Labels:
  All our labels are printed on paper stickers, avoiding plastic waste.

• Carbon-Neutral Shipping:
  We ship with Sendle, Australia’s 100% carbon-neutral delivery service — helping reduce the footprint of every order.

• Eco-Friendly Satchels:
  When mailers are needed, we use biodegradable mailing satchels instead of plastic ones.

What We’re Planning Next

• Sustainable Product Packaging:
  We’re working toward replacing all product packaging with 100% biodegradable or recyclable materials. 

• Carbon Offsetting:
  We're exploring ways to offset carbon emissions, not just from shipping, but from the entire lifecycle of our products — including:

  • Supporting tree planting initiatives

  • Partnering with certified ocean cleanup charities

• Stronger Circular Practices:
  We're researching refillable or low-waste options for future product lines, like jars, tins, or hemp-based materials.

We know sustainability is a journey — and we’re just getting started. Our goal is to constantly improve and be transparent about our progress. We’re currently reviewing reputable, certified organisations to support, so that our impact is measurable and meaningful.

Reuse what you can: We design many of our products with a second life in mind. If you can reuse the packaging before recycling or composting it, that’s even better for the planet.

• Our candle jars make beautiful storage for small items or can be repurposed as plant pots or tealight holders.

• Our deodorant tins are perfect for storing jewellery, hair ties, or refills once empty.

• Even our kraft boxes can be reused for gifting, storage, or organising drawers.
